Aachener Straße is the road that runs west out of Cologne, from the Ring at Rudolfplatz all the way past the city boundary towards Königsdorf and, historically, on to Aachen. That position is the point of the address: you are on a main road with its own tram stop and two motorway junctions within a mile and a half, but out of the congestion, parking scarcity and rent levels of the Innenstadt.

Getting here: tram, train and motorway

Line 1 runs about every 15 minutes and reaches Neumarkt in the city centre in roughly 23 minutes, continuing east across the Rhine to Bensberg. Weiden Zentrum is the next stop along, about 6 minutes on foot.

For regional and mainline connections, Lövenich station is an 8 minute walk and Köln-Weiden West about 12 minutes, both served by S-Bahn lines S12 and S19. Weiden West also acts as a park-and-ride interchange with Line 1. The nearest bus stop, Frechener Weg, is 150 metres away.

By car, the A1 (Köln-Lövenich junction) and the A4 (Frechen-Nord junction) are each about 1.4 km away, roughly 3 minutes, with Autobahnkreuz Köln-West joining the two just south of the site. Parking is the practical advantage of the location: spaces are directly at the building rather than on a permit-controlled central street.

What is around the building

The Rhein-Center Köln-Weiden, one of the oldest shopping centres in Germany and still the commercial anchor of the district, is at Aachener Str. 1253, about 6 minutes on foot. It brings a full high street within walking distance of the desk: REWE and Netto for groceries, dm, Zara, H&M, Peek & Cloppenburg, opticians, a pharmacy, banking at Sparkasse KölnBonn, and a Starbucks for meetings you would rather not host in the office.

A Deutsche Post branch is 330 metres away, which matters if you use the building as a registered business address. Bakeries, a hotel for visiting clients (Hotel Germania, 4 minutes) and a cluster of medical practices near the centre are all within a few minutes. The Römergrab, a preserved second-century Roman tomb that gives the tram stop its name, is 300 metres up the road.
